Mickey Wunderlich asked me to post the following as his computer is down.

At the September 28th commissioner meeting commissioner Kaminska said how happy she was the the ambulance was going to be 8 minutes closer to her mother.  When I asked about my mother she said "she'll just have to wait 8 minutes.  This is not just about my mother but people that live in the northeast and northwest part of Elk county.  The geographical center of the county is less than 1 mile south and east of Howard.  I submit that this move is not professional nor pratical but personal and political. Commissioner Liebau during this same meeting stated that "We're going to run this county the way we want to until the voters vote us out."  I don't think these positions and statements are being made to improve our county. 

Shouldn't we try to live within our means?  In regards to the EMS and Health Department building $819,000 for the building seems to me to be excessive.  The huge initial cost is just the beginning.  What about the furnishings, personnel, insurance(not being located in town), security(same thing), and other costs not included in the building price.  The $400,000 grant is being more than 100% matched by the county.  Are the architect and grant writer fees covered by the $819,000 or will we have to come up with more money to cover these.  These things had all been brought up in previous meetings but have the commissioners listened? Mileage across the entire county needs to be addressed, not just the distance to the commissioner's mother's house.  Why can't we spend less money. Why is the rodeo grounds the only option? Why just one building?

Just remember if you live in the northern half of the county don't worry.  Just wait.

Citizens of Elk county and America wake up before it's too late.  Maybe it already is.

These are my opinions and I'm willing to discuss any of them with you.  Face to face please, I'm not on the forum.

We need people to start talking about just that prior to the next election.

For instance having a college degree or owning a business does not make you intelligent in every facet of life.
Nor does it make you smart or wise.

How many business owner take care of all of their business, the business of book keeping, the business of taxes for the business, the business of  re-ordering their needed supplies ? Very few if any, they farm it ou or hire someone to do the job.

Also owning a business does not make a person a leader,i.e. Elk Kon-nected, LLC I believe is a prime example? What are they accomplishing?

I'd like to see a good old redneck farmer that knows where  money comes from because they worked hard to earn it. And because they are conservative instead of liberal. Some one that is not obligated to follow the

Right on Pro, if some people don't make the effort and spend the money to get an education, we wouldn't have Teachers, Doctors, Engineers or College Professors. For ten years I traveled all over the world for Phillips Petroleum and I saw what happens when people don't have an education or at least some Education, the results are high crime, starvation and death due to no Medical care.

Education in America is free and in most cases the best there is. There are other countries that have great education systems as well. I went to College and got my degree at age 30, my wife and I had no help and we didn't owe any money after I graduated. The opportunity to get an education is available in this great nation of ours, you just have to want it enough and go for it. Lots of the countries I worked in around the world did not provide any educational opportunities at all, especially not to the lower class. I pay high taxes and I don't mind it at all as it allows people in my area to get an education.

And if you don't realize it not all Lawyers, Dentists, Priest, Teachers, Doctors, Engineers or College Professors or other so-called college educated  professionals are good at what they are educated in.

My point was that people with an Education normally make better money, that stands to reason why. Again you missed the whole point, thankfully due to Scholarships, Grants and other sources many people who could not otherwise afford it can get a good education. I know some very prominent Doctors , Engineers and others that came from families that were far from wealthy and they got an education because other people give money for Scholarships and the like. I will venture to say based on the way that Liz Hendricks and her organization Elk Kon-nected used the phrase,  old guard is a negative alluding to certain people who have controlled Elk County from behind the scenes over the many years. And were still attempting to do so and to continue to by signing up with Elk Kon-nected. So she claimed to weed out the  old guard . Why wouldn't she be civic minded enough to disclose/out these particular people by name, if she felt they were bad for Elk County? Didn't she have a civic duty to disclose undesirables rather than just bad mouth them?

I grew up with 7 older brothers 4 of them were US Military men and they all were big hunters, I started  hunting at age 10 and I have Elk hunted, Deer hunted, Hunted Upland birds of all kinds and at 75 I still hunt a lot as well as Trap and Skeet shooting. You are as full of crap as Ross. My 2 sons and my daughter are all big gun owners and all 3 are hunters, they will defend their right to Bear Arms to the end as will I. Will you?

I was a sailor for ten years and a Federal employee for ten years and a major oil company pipeline employee for thirteen years and I have experienced more verbal abuse and dished it out because it was standard practice at all three jobs. It was a matter of course and a matter of entertainment.  So no big thing fpr me, just humor.

Once, I got five (5) birds on the rise and my family defended America in the Southern army.
Your side won that one and took over America just as the Bolsheviks won theirs and took over Russia about 50 years later.  You continue to defend government schools and most other government programs - you're never against a tax increase in Elk County - you're a liberal, a socialist Republican type. 

I don't see you holding firm on the right to bear arms.  You'll keep on hunting and shooting Trap & Skeet until the day that you voluntarily surrender your guns to your own kind of people to demonstrate your friendship to them and your loyalty to the U S flag.

Mickey called me last night and asked me to remind you of the original post.  What happened?  Ross posted a reply and immediately people started jumping on Ross.  Micky and I wish that you would drop your childish comments and respond to this post as it was printed.  Micky has not had anyone come by the shop or call regarding what was originally brought forth in this post.  Please contact him directly if you have something to say about his comments.

Do you and Elk Kon-nected really believe the  brand new EMS building even needs to be built?

Or wouldn't it be better to be a bit conservative and build on to the building the county already owns?

How about considering the actual dangers of having an EMS sign located at the cross roads of two highwaysand the word rapidly spreading through out the region druggies, that there is an unprotected EMS with narcotics for easy pickins?  Think of the safety of the employees spending the night out there. Why put in a safe room if there is no possible problem where two highways intersect?

Oh, Konnected Kounty Kommissioner Shari Kaminska says she is concerned for the   
safety of our employees out there, but does she care enough to keep them in Howard, inside of the community, basically hidden from the rest of the world. She cares enough about their safety to consider my neighbors suggestion of a safe room.  But what happens if, they can not get to the safe room in time?
I think this is a question that needs an awful lot ocf consideration!

I heard that the Konnected Kounty Kommissionersdon't want to buy new property because the property, would then be removed from the tax rolls.
So they want to go to the rodeo grounds with the new building, why?
How much of that land out there is tax free?
Is the airport taxfree as well? If so why?
Perhaps that needs to be looked into?

With the exception of one County Commissioner and that would be Mr. Hebb.

If you had a majority of the Commissioners that wanted you to show up they would have held this meeting in the evening. You understand --- the way Elk Kon-nected held their so called Kommunity Konversations --- so people could show up.  Don't ya  reckon?

Jumping off the subject on threat's is normal for the people that use this all the time. This is why I do not get involved. How did this go from EMTs building to guns?

The whole idea was an attempt by liberals to belittle me, which is humous, because they continually fail.

But on the subject I personally feel our EMS people are far safer in their present location and that an appropriate extension of ttheir present location would show some frugality on the part of the
Kon-nected Kounty Kommissioners. And many other people agreed at the meeting.

It is also Centrally located in the County and not 8 minutes closer to
Kon-nected Kounty Kommissioners  Kaminska mothers home over someone else's mothers home.

I wonder, will we ever have a conservative and frugal County Commissioners Board ?

P.S. I came back to add. The Kon-nected Kounty Kommissioners if they were to build on instead of a big fancy new building would probably not recognize a giant feather in their bonnet and no monument with their name on it. Would they! Pride can be a dangerous thing!
