So who's running for what office?
You have until the 23rd to file.
Or . . . who should be recruited to run . . . or endorsed to continue in office???
Not on your life.
Aw, shucks! I was thinking maybe you and Teresa could be a 2-for-1 deal, with Momma Wilma coming in to keep tabs on both of you! :D :D :D :D
They would need me.
Well, heck. I never gave that any thought. Maybe Ms. T and I should run for city council. We could turn this town upside down. Oh my gosh. Do you think the council table is big enough for the both of us? ;D ;D
Who is going out on the council?
Who has filed for any of the open positions on the city council or the school board?
Ta Ta, are you and Miss T really so big that they would need a bigger table? How about bigger chairs?
We would have the biggest personalities there.

Emptynest, I have no idea who is going out, who is up, or anything. I just know we have an election this spring. Probably some school board positions, too.
That might not be the only biggest things you would have there.
Council Members up for re-election...
Wayne Willhite
Gary Harrod
Bob Winn.
I think I will pass on running for office.. LOL 8)

Hooray for you, Henry. Knowing who raised you, gets you my vote. Now don't let this turn out to be an April Fool's joke.
This is NO joke!!!! I paid my 5 dollars to get on the ballot.
I believe you. You were taught not to lie. Do you know who else has filed? Not that it makes any difference. You have my vote no matter who else is running.
The three, that there terms are expiring,Dick Adams ,me and one other one . I don't know who it is. Donna just said, at the time I registered, there was only 6 people registered.
Fantastic.... good for you.. who are you running against?
And Dick Adams? Is he running for council? Because I thought you had to be in the city limits of Howard.
Danny I think.. would run, but he is outside the limits so he can't.
anyway.. Good luck Henry.. we need smart people taking an interest in helping run the city.
Henry,
Are you running for council or for school board? I know. I'll just look in the paper and give you all a report.

(This is me on my soapbox)
If you have not registered to vote, call the election officer, Donna Kaminska, and see if the books are still open so that you can register to vote. Her number is 620-374-2490. Don't be want of these people who don't vote, but can complain with the best of them. GET OUT THERE AND VOTE.
Good morning fellow forum people. I will probably be out of town working at election time, I would like your vote, if you have a mind to do so.
I would like to work on some things to make our city a better place to live. I know it will take a lot of time, but maybe new blood in office can make a difference. ::) ::) ::)
Henry
Rest assured, Henry. You have my vote, so you will have one vote anyway.
The candidates that will be in town, along with some of the school board candidates, are attending a forum sponsored by the Howard Area Lions Club - at 7 pm on March 20th at the Cox building, west room.
Some of the candidates (like Henry) already had plans when the forum was scheduled, so they're providing statements to be read.
I think the City is providing the Cox building for the forum.
See you there.
Oh - Jim said there will be refreshments!
Yeah, refreshments. I'll be there.
I was sure hoping there would be a bigger crowd at the Candidate Forum the Lions Club sponsored. THey did a great service to the community, though. I appreciated them doing that. The only thing I wish was that the candidates were seated up on the stage facing us the entire time.
I would have liked to ask more questions---and made more comments, but one has to be selective, I know. And with a bigger audience, there might have been more questions that some of us could not ask at the time.
Our community needs to read the writing on the wall. It will take more than who is elected as our political candidates to save our little communities and their schools.
But kudos to the Lions Club.
Just a reminder to be sure and vote this Tuesday.....The school board election is definitely very important not to mention the city council election. The school board is going to have some very important decisions to make in the upcoming year, so make your vote count!
Results!!! ??? ??? ???
Haven't heard or seen anything yet, but I am checking other sources.

Hi to everybody on the forum.
I have heard that the three, Gary, Bob and Whilte(maybe spelled wrong) won their seat back.
Thanks to everybody that voted for me. I will try again next election.
Thanks Henry
Your welcome, Henry. And I like your attitude. Keep looking forward and always try again. Like I should be talking. ha
