Tippecanoe And Tyler Transvestites, Too...

Milwaukee School Holding "Gender Bender" Day For Students To
Dress As Transvestites

(HOLY CRAP, this is INSANE!!!  What is wrong with these degenerates?
....and of course academia has no hidden agenda)

'MILWAUKEE – Deidri Hernandez's seven-year-old son won't be in school today, after officials at Tippecanoe School for the Arts and Humanities confirmed they're still holding "Switch It Up Day" – a time for students to come dressed as members of the opposite sex.

Hernandez tells EAGnews the day was originally billed as "Gender Bender Day," but Tippecanoe officials made the name change after she called Principal Jeffrey Krupar to complain.

The Milwaukee mother was not impressed.

"I didn't have a problem with the title. I had a problem with the activity taking place," Hernandez says.

She says it's "ridiculous" and "creepy" to ask elementary boys to come to school dressed as girls, and vice versa, and predicts that having students dress as "transvestites" will distract from the learning process.

Hernandez knows of at least one other parent who shares her concerns and plans to hold her child out of class, too.

Choke! Now why is this being made into such a big deal? Little girls have worn "boy" clothes for generations now and boys have  dressed as girls for Halloween, play productions and such. Kilts anyone? Many male circus clowns dress as females for shows. This should not be made into an ugly issue. Kids are confused enough as it is. The word transvestite is nowhere on that poster. Anything to stir people up and get media attention. Black hearted people! Yuk! Spirit day of many forms have existed for many years, sometimes as fund raisers.

Bull,
Who you calling an idiot---the School principal who thinks this is a good idea---or person who taught for 2-3 years back in the stone age and STILL thinks she knows what's best for OUR kids ?

Have I ever told you about the wedding at a grade school production where I played the groom and my nemesis was the bride?  To top it all off, he offered to tie my tie for me since I was a girl and didn't know how to do it.  Being the groom, I stood at the front of the room, while he, being the bride had to walk down the center aisle between all the high school boys.

I can't say that girls dressing in boy's clothing or boys dressing in girl's clothing is any thing new, nor can I say that it has anything to do with those children's future sexual preferences.  I turned out all right, didn't I?

We had "reverse-dress" days back in the 60's when I was in school. No big deal.

I always thought Tom Thumb weddings were really cute and did nothing to influence kids in any way. Some little boys like to play with  girl dolls as well as boy dolls. Is that a problem too. Hardly! Usually only among sexually insecure men. Ya think it might rub off? Phooey.
Jar, ya trying to start it up again? Silly man. I do hope you didn't mean me. Cat or Angie maybe? You were told to lay off. Once again, ya don't get it and never will. Better stay in the bunker so no new ideas contaminate ya. >:(
Do you know in some schools it's the kids who come up with the ideas?  Then the principal chooses. Some do backward day, dress as your favorite movie star day, sports star day, hero, favorite food, and all sorts of silly fun things. When we did it the kids would write stories about how they chose what to be and why and what they learned . Besides these things are always voluntary. The kids who choose not to participate don't have to. Milwaukee is a city...doesn't have hay or wheat to bring in. Shaking my head in bewilderment.
Wilma, I think you turned out great!

Diane, why do you want to address me that way ? Did I mention your name ? You see, I'm learning from you---just throw them generalities out there. I say something about an idiot and you just presume I was talking about you. You should really do something about that low self esteem.

O k, so, name names. I also suggested Cat and Angie as possible victims. As far as I know I'm the only "Stone Age' "she" teacher on here, just as you are a Stone Age Marine. So try and back peddle all you want, it won't wash off. So, who did you mean to insult? Think fast!  And seriously, thanks for all you did...back in your day.

Some people thought performing in black face was funny, well it's not.  Cross dressing is not funny.
The bible forbids men to dress in women's clothes and vise versa.

Deuteronomy 22:5
Good News Translation (GNT)
5: "Women are not to wear men's clothing, and men are not to wear women's clothing; the Lord your God hates people who do such things.

So don't do it. Others can decide for themselves.
Just for the sake of debate...how did men and women dress when that was written?
How about male speedos? Bikinis? Purple hair? None of that makes sense to me either, but people demand their right to be different and individuals.
Things do change .When I was a country kid, the country boys and farm boys wouldn't be caught dead in shorts. How about now? By the way...do you have clothes made of more than one kind of fabric? I assume you have tassels sewn on the four courners of your garments? Well why not? So says Deuteronomy 22:11,12  Better look again.

I've seen no farm or ranch kids wearing shorts, for good reason, which, by the way, folks around here still have. Wearing shorts would be asking to have burned or bleeding or bitten legs. Most wear long sleeve shirts as well.

The only role reversal I experienced in high school was the Sadie Hawkins dance, when the girls asked the boys to go. New lettermen had to wear a dress to school for one morning as initiation to the letterman's club.

A far cry from this pro gay nonsense.

Well gee,I didn't mean shorts on the job doing farm chores, that wouldn't be smart.I meant anywhere else like going to summer picnics, or shopping etc....places other than where long work pants etc. weren't needed and they had a choice in dress. The country boys here now do wear shorts when they can.

Sodom and Gomorrah had nothing on todays liberal society.

Inducing confusion for what reason?

Boy or Girl?' Gender a new challenge for schools
'Associated Press By MARTHA IRVINE |
Associated Press – 31 mins ago

It's not, of course, that pat of a process. Parents don't just decide to let their kids switch genders. But, whether parents are dragged through the process, or if they decide to work it through more openly, more kids are challenging the boundaries of traditional gender, and going public at younger ages.

And they are doing so with the guidance of a growing faction of medical experts who no longer see this as something to be fixed. Last year, the American Psychiatric Association removed "gender identity disorder" from its list of mental health ailments.

Some experts predict that views on gender will evolve in much the same way they have for sexual orientation, since homosexuality was removed as a mental illness nearly four decades ago. Today, the gender spectrum includes those who are transgender, who see themselves as the opposite gender, and those who are gender variant, or gender nonconforming, whose gender is more "fluid." For kids, it means they identify part of themselves as boy and part as girl.

And......   Well gosh, some kids don't have a choice in "dress". They don't have a closet full of clothes. The clothes they have serve a main purpose , protection from the elements and nature, as it has been since the beginning.

Mama only had one quirk, she forbid me to wear bib overalls, they reminded her of the poverty that was everywhere and kids wearing nothing but, including no shoes.

Reminds me of a story that a mother told me about one of her sons, back somewhere in the early 40's.  They were farmers and they dressed as farmers, bib overalls.  Came time for him to go to high school in town, they felt like he should wear a suit to school.  He also had to walk a couple of miles to get there.  The suit lasted only a couple of days and he was back in his bib overalls, to h-e-doublehockeysticks with what anyone thought about them.  I knew the gentleman.  He was a bit older than I and you couldn't ask for a finer person than he.

The folks bought me a suit to graduate in, though it was only worn in school pictures. I still have it. Have not had one since, no use for it, besides funerals and weddings. If the church folk don't like my best, then to h-e-doublehockeysticks with them.

Clothes don't make the man, Uncle Millard always said.

I find this conversation very interesting.
Our farm kids never showed their 4-H animals in overalls, jeans or dungarees.  It was usually a white shirt and white pants with a black belt. Some moms made them...everybody's mom sewed back then..or a sister, aunt or grandma.
I made my own 4-H uniform dress. It was a shirt waist green stripe seersucker with the 4-H emblem on the pocket. I was so pleased when I got a blue on it and got to wear it too.  Nobody was allowed to wear jeans to school  except for summer school...and no pants for girls except for summer school either.
The school had a huge clothing sale every fall where we all dropped off what ever had been out grown and for practically nothing everybody was able to get school appropriate clothes. The local folks dropped off clothes and shopped too.
The school nurse knew all the sizes of our poorest families and she very quietly took care of them by pre shopping and taking bags of clothes to them at home. She also kept a clothes closet at school for emergencies. Shoes were always quietly donated. We all took care of each other.

I guess you don't understand Dolly's song " Coat of many colors" either. Sure , even I knew/know how to sew. I pushed the treadle for Grandma when she was putting together shirts ans quilts out of scraps from worn out clothes. They looked fine to me, and they were made by my Grandma, so they were perfect.

I wore handme downs from my three older brothers, and we were considered rich because we had more than two changes of clothes. Never saw anyone at the 4-H fair , or county fair, or even the state fair showing livestock in white.

Some of us missed school on days when plowing, planting, what have you was more important. If they wouldn't have allowed denim, they wouldn't have had any students, and jeans were patched until they wouldn't hold a stitch anymore. Then they were cut up to patch the next ones. New fabric was a luxury.

Maybe growing up in an affluent community is part of your problem.

Nah...  Ya gonna hate me because I'm not dirt poor? That's your problem!
We had a big mix here, including families who were driven out of farming by the drought and dust storms and in some cases bad farming practices and foreclosures. Also had very poor folks from the south who came up on the horse manure trains for the mushroom growing industry. Lot's of Italian and Jewish immigrants too. Lots of share croppers also.
Bull, I'm not the one with the problem. You are heavy into reverse snobbery apparently. We didn't take sides and didn't look down on anyone.  Remember many here were Quakers and didn't do such things
. All farming states would close school during planting and harvesting season, nothing special to you.
Remember, my body is full of Kansas blood too.I was fortunately lucky to have family that were, in some cases lucky, and in some cases smart enough to always do well...just as Kansas people do today. They aren't all dirt poor now any more than they ever were... Cattle and oil, big farms and the railroad, military contracts, and a stone quarry, bankers ,teachers and a dry goods store....all in my back ground.
Sounds normal to me. So what.  Everybody tried to better themselves....still do.....and for the last time I grew up OUT IN THE COUNTRY, not in town. I went to school about six miles away and there were still many one room schools still running until I was in mid elementary school. DuPont family money paid to close them and build the "consolidated" schools that exist now. So now you are bored. Tough Nobody made you read this.

It is interesting you can percieve anything I have said here as hate.

You obviously aren't aware of the diversity of culture here. Irish, German, Russian and of course Jews ( Amberg) among a plethera of others.

I have related personal experience here, a lifetime of it, and in no way would slight any person who had less wealth or even intelligence.

This was about clothes, and that is what I a"dressed" . I didn't bring up the fact that kids I grew up with had no bathroom and took their "baths" under the pump handle. They were just as much my friends and classmates as any others, with one being salutorian, though I didn't really care to be close on a hot day.

When I am bored with you, I will cease to respond to your inaccuracies.
