In reading the flood of articles following the Obama-Romney debate last night, I was struck by one of the reader comments that has a local flavor.
As I read this forum, attend county commission meetings, review local political agendas and policies, and as I watch the stage of actors bent on 'improving' Elk County at any cost through government/private entanglements, this comment (by a self identified ex-progressive) says volumes about what seems to be a local reality for anyone who challenges our local Power Brokers...

They have ALL the answers; just ASK them!
Of course, we will have to VOTE for them to find out what UNintended consequences they have in store for US.

The elections are coming... and, just as with the national scene, it really is ok to challenge & change local leadership. More than OK, sometimes it's necessary.
