West Elk sent two sophomore students to the State Music Festival today.
Nora Trupe was given a II on her vocal solo and Courtney Hunter was awarded a I on her flute solo.
Very impressive outing, ladies!
Very nice. Congratulations to them both.
Forgot to mention - Courtney, who is a beautiful young lady, is one of Flo's granddaughters.
Now that's very nice to know.
Nora Trupe is my great niece and I also am very proud of her accomplishment.
That's nice to know too! Congrats to all.
:) :) I am so very proud of my youngest granddaughter, Courtney, for all her accomplishments in music, also softball, forensics, scholars bowl and math relays. Greatguns, you have every right to be proud of Nora also. Well done, girls, and a good representation of West Elk's talented students. :D :D :D

You should be. As sick as she was earlier in the week, a II rating (above average) is absolutely excellent. She has a beautiful voice and sings with great emotion!
Congratulations to these two fine young women. West Elk should be proud.
AWESOME!! Way to go girls!!! Go West Elk!! ;D

Yes, I was afraid she wouldn't even be able to sing. Always proud of all kids that give it their best!
