Inside the List: Facts and Figures
Despite the stalled economy, the nation's wealthiest are worth a combined $1.53 trillion, nearly equivalent to the GDP of our neighbor Canada. Their total wealth is up 12% in the year through August 26, when we took a snapshot of everyone's net worth, meaning these affluent folks did slightly better than the markets; the S&P 500, for instance, was up 10% in that time.

In my first link above it has a tool where you can filter the list. One of the most interesting filters I did on the list was to filter with by wealth gained then sorted the results change % descending from highest to lowest.
The economy has been good for Oil, Facebook, Hotels, Storage, and Brokers\Investments.

The gap between the rich and the poor diverges more and more and more. The middle class seems to disappear on an ongoing basis while the richest among us hold about 90% of the overall fortune. In future days we will only have the super rich and the very poor.
