I have been flipping through the news channels to see what is being shown about the kiling of Osama Bin Laden. Here is what Fox News Channel has to say, and I quote, "George Bush, George Bush, George Bush". Lol!! ;D ;D ;D
Got this from Facebook...How VERY TRUE IT IS!!!
Let's be clear on this: OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American soldier, who Obama just a few weeks ago was debating on whether or not to PAY, did. Obama just happened to be the one in office when our soldiers finally found OBL and took him out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN... victory!!
Regardless of what any media outlet says or whatever politician tries to take credit... I credit some well trained, hard working military troops who had and have their asses on the line every day.

I totally agree that this is a credit to our armed forces, no matter what president they serve. Can't you just imagine the tales those guys have to share with the grandkids? Totally awesome. I wasn't whacking at any president or the military, I just got a chuckle out of the way that Fox is handling this. Still think it's funny! ;)
Fox is a news station? I thought it was an opinion station.
I heard it directly from the president last night, then today on "The View" the news director of ABC gave the facts. FACTS, I say. Not an opinion, the facts. He refused to enlarge on any of it. This is the one I will believe and I am not going to pay attention to any of the others.
It's amazing Fox NEWS Network is the number ONE source of NEWS throughout the US. Then there is that somewhat less of about 62% less, news station called CNN. It is still funny how some small minded, idiotic people will says that Fox NEWS is not a NEWS station. It does in fact, report the NEWS as CNN and the SAME news. If some people had enough energy to pick up their thumb and switch back and forth between the news stations, they could see the same stuff being reported. It's only those with small minds, afraid of change, whether it be a right wing news station or a black president, that will not see facts as facts and not twist them to what suits their needs at the time. I, as everyone else, on here have a computer and can look up whatever I want to dispute or distort the fact to fit my needs. Pull your heads out of your collective asses and look around. The View is NOT news. It's like sitting around the damn coffee shop, thinking they are keeping you up to date and informed by their OPINIONS of course. It's funny that Geraldo Rivera, one of the most liberal people on Fox News, last night, was the FIRST person clapping and yelling and laughing that Usama bin Laden was dead; a story that HE, Geraldo Rivera, BROKE FIRST, on FOX news. Now put that in your liberal CNN crack pipe and smoke it!---MR. KSHillbilly
P.S. to Anmar and Jerry: Our condolences on the passing of your leader!

Shove it up your ass. That is a vile ridiculous statement, it is a testament to your lack of character that you would lump me in with him because we disagree. Why can't we just disagree?

Oh Lord we are screwed as a nation if yall think the View is a news outlet!
The View is not a news source and I didn't say it was. What I said was that the head of the news department of ABC was on the View and he gave the facts and only the facts. Are you disputing that the head of a major network's news department is not a source of news? I wish you people you learn to understand what you read.

First of all it doesn't matter if he is the head. He was not in a news venue, so his statements on the view are that of commentary and opinion while in that venue. Now if he got on ABC NEWS and put his reputation on the line in a news venue, then you might have a case. But outside of that "venue" anything he says holds no more weight than those who run commentarys and variety shows like the view.
Besides, ABC ? A reputable NEWS SOURCE?? Rotfl

Is this the ABC news director you are talking about, Wilma :
Thread: ABC News Director Arrest/Fired for Jacking off at truck stop http://kgov.com/bel/20091008
Sounds like someone that the "View" would have on its "very opinionated" show.
For Shame, Wilma.... for Shame :o :o :o

ROTFLMBO. Boy that show is a real magnet for lesbians and perverts.
You might think that is funny, but it is not about the head of the news department of ABC. You still don't have it right, do you?
What is sad is that some people will read all this and think that it is the truth just because it was aired and someone construed it to be the ABC news director. Nowhere in the article was ABC mentioned at all.

Sorry, Wilma.... I should have pointed that out. The two stations, KHBS & KHOG became full-time
ABC affiliates in 1978. Both stations are owned by Hearst Television and are normally referred to as one entity, 40/29. Sorry about flubbing up there. ;D
So it is an ABC affiliate. That doesn't mean that the head of the ABC news department was there. That affiliate station isn't the main office is it? What was that person's position with that station?

He was the ABC News Director of KHBS & KHOG, Hearst Corp. before he was fired for...uh... you know... playing around with his.... ah... hmmmmm... his thingamajig.
This is the fence post, now go!
So what does an item about a news director of an affiliate station have to do with the man that was on the View? Aren't you flirting with slander?
guns, what about fence posts?
You know, some people just love to argue and if they can't find anyone to argue with they just stop and argue with the fence post. ;D
Thanks for clearing that up, I wondered myself. ???
Uh, guns, please forgive me for even asking this. Am I a fence post?
Bush policy-- don't ask, don't tell! :D
Even Fox news says its not a 100% news station. Even fox news says their shows are about opinion. Why would anyone still believe that Fox News is actually news? Hannity, Beck, all of them frequently admit that they are NOT journalists....
How much of a fool would you have to be to go on this big long rant about how great of a news source that Fox news is, when fox news itself contradicts you?
edit:
I don't want to politicize the assassination of Bin Laden, but I don't think credit should be given to politicians. Sure, they can set priorities, but its the armed forces who do the work. Obama made it a priority to get him, Bush did not.

Bush calls him marginalized, so he's not a threat anymore. However Navy seals found a lot of plans to carry out attacks coming up next September. Is there any doubt that our intelligence was a complete and utter failure under the leadership of the Bush administration?

Who knows... maybe she's right.

Whoops, Six... sounds like Obuma's policy... "don't ask, don't tell." Case in point, the way he kissed-off one of the ladies at ground zero yesterday when she asked about Holder and the seals.
Obuma will walk and has walked in his predecessor's footsteps... and not comfortably. For bin Laden's capture has only highlighted the argument of many former Bush administration officials that Obuma has continued more of their policies than he cares to admit. Take counterterrorism for instance.... Obuma embraced the bulk of the Bush counterterrorism policies as they stood in January 2009. The Bush counterterrorism policies as they stood in 2009 were quite different than the ones early in the Bush administration, as we all know... the result of years of pushback, alteration and tweaking by courts.. Congress... the press... civil society and many actors inside the Bush administration. When you get down to it, there are many parallels between Bush's retreat from tactics like waterboarding and Obuma's abandoned plans to bring detainees to the U.S. for trial and detention. Many of the same political pressures that led Bush to dial back his aggressive counterterrorism policies also led Obuma to dial back some of his counterterrorism policies, including closing Gitmo and trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in civilian court. The two very different presidents have ended up in about the same place because of the larger structural pressures at work on the post-9/11 presidency.

Jeez, Anmar... if you ask me, it sounds like you watch FOX more than the other news channels. Let me correct you... Bush always made it a priority to get UbL. Remember, it took 10 years of very hard investigation for the CIA, DOD and other covert groups to track him down. Eight of those 10 years belonged to Bush and only two on Obuma's watch. When you get down to it, neither president had a thing to do with the final outcome. It was all the counterterrorism groups that made it possible.
