Good for charlotte. Just as I wouldn't want the Phelps bunch to hold a conference, I wouldn't want these racists in my town either.
???? Varmit you don't believe in 1st amendment?
To believe in the 1st amendment, you have to take the good with the bad.
Yes I do believe in the first admendment. I also believe in a business owners right to pick and choose who they allow in their establishments. I also believe in exposing an organization that poses under false pretences in order to gain a venue to spread their filth.

I agree they have the right but does Charlotte the government have a right to influence the business decision. Remember they just won the 2012 Democrat convention and that was the major factor in the pressure exerted on the business.
Srkruzich, I'm with you. Here's a black American point of view on the matter:

Yeah, I think they do. Unless they are threatening to raise the individual owners tax or something, then yes, I think that gov't officals have just as much right to express their opinion to an owner as anyone else.
The problem with both articles posted is that neither offers any proof of threats or the like towards the hotel owners, they only assume that threats were made.

So are you saying that your naive enough to believe that no threats were made?!
No. However, are you saying that you're naive enough to believe something just because you read it in an article that presents no proof?

Again, be specific. Who are the "they" that made threats?
