Sometimes I get creative

I spent some time today deleting files from my desktop that were old and no longer necessary.  I found this and thought I would wow my forum faithful with my "rare?" creativity.

                                              LOVE OF MY LIFE

                                           inspired by my granddaughter

Sleep patterns still on your face
you walk through the door.
A child full of grace
my granddaughter of four

What will we do today
There is so much we can do
We can read or play
it will be just us two

Grocery shopping at the store
for a picnic in the shade
Hot dogs, chips and more
Blanket laid out in a glade

We grow tired and fall asleep
Old and young need to doze
Drifting off into dreams so deep
Stretched out nose to toes

Time for a snack now
As I share some stories
I tell one and you say, "Wow!"
Regaling you of past glories

It is getting late in the day
Mommy comes thru the door
Goodbye to my sunshine, little ray
my granddaughter of four

Very nice, Larry.  I have a 5 year old great granddaughter that fits that perfectly.  Unfortunately, I don't get to see her very often.
