Waldo, that is the Rawlins County, Kansas Courthouse at Atwood. Am I missing something here?? I am assuming it was to or from someone in Howard.

You are not missing anything, but the seller is.

One would think the seller has to be an out of state person.

The small writing at the upper left says Atwood, Ks.

That small writing also says Rawlins Co. rather than Rowlings Co.

The post card has no postmarks and was never sent through the mail.

Someone in Howard must have originally purchased it in Atwood.

Waldo, I think Tobina was from the far NW corner of the state, close to Rawlins county.

Janet Harrington

It is possible that whoever is selling this had been typing Howard, Kansas on something else and just forgot to change it to the proper county.  How funny that Waldo would find that.

Diane Amberg

If I may be so bold,Tobina is from Atwood.

Atwood is only 105 miles from Mount Sunflower, the highest mountain in Kansas.

Ms Bear

I started to high school in McDonald, Rawlins County but was only there for four months and don't remember much about it.  I know my grandparents homesteaded there after leaving Howard.

Janet Harrington

Well, I am pretty sure I have never been there let alone visit the courthouse there.  LOL
