Oh, Diane...It's just more rhetoric...It's pathetic, actually...It reflects the complete stupidity that still exists in this modern day and age. Like I've said before...Stupidity isn't a virus but it sure catches like one!

Its the absolute truth. Most people up north tell ya, the war is over get over it which really means, we don't give a rats ass about your heritage or culture so shut up.

Shrug. Might be that the armed fighting is over, but the South refuses to shutup and die.
I've even been told to go back there if i like it so much. Yes i do love it there, but i also love areas that aren't my beloved south. Doesn't mean i have to give up on it. Heck i'm getting some confederate jasmine i think in a week or so, and cinnamon ferns i hope. Their native plants there that should grow her so i am hoping to plant a piece of the south around here. I sure would love to find me a couple magnolia trees to plant in my front yard and back yard. Those trees are gorgeous.

Jack boots? By the way, what do you consider the difference between a Yankee and a northerner? I'm not picking, just wondered because the author acknowledged a difference. Shut up and die? From what?

Well theres three definitions of Yankees. Theres Yankee, and they come down and drive through. Then theres the Damn Yankee, and they come down and stay for a while then go back home. Then you have the Gawd Dang Yankee, and their the ones who come down and buy up all the land, go to changing laws cause thats the way it was back in yankeeland, and their going to force us dumb southerners to see it their way.
Usually teh Gawd Dang Yankees leave after a couple years crying cause they miss their snow and ice.

Then you got the Half backs, those are the Yankees that go down to florida, find out they don't like it and settle halfway back between where they belong and florida. Those are the worse kind of yankee.

Uhmm Northerners come down like the slower paced atmosphere, find the people friendly and come into the area without trying to change it, take advantage of the people and such.

For example, new yorkers (city) don't do well in Atlanta because everyone i ever met was rude and overbearing. They try to run over everyone like a freight train.

After the war, the northerners came down and raped the economy, took advantage of a war ravaged nation and stole what they couldn't con out of the folks. They were called carpetbaggers. Had to run them out of the south to preserve what was left. Thats how the KKK got started. They succeeded in running out the carpetbaggers.

THey want us to shut up and die off. Forgetting our heritage. They have been trying to destroy it as much as possible over the years, and the south manages to hang in there because they have the documented truth about before the war, during and after the war of Aggression. The revisionists know they can't battle documents, so they try to create strife. Like the Tennessee battle flag. They commonly refer to it as the confederate flag of which it was not the confederate flag. IT was the tennessee battle flag. The confederate flag is ole bonnie blue. A blue flag with a white star.

Oh, we saw some Magnolia trees at the store the other day. We were thinking next payday we're going to go get one. Have no clue if they'll grow here, but I'm going to give them a try. :-) Looked almost like a tulip tree only a different color.

As far as north and south go, I have no clue what I am. I guess all I can say is I'm a Kansan interested in hearing both sides of history.

Magnolia trees grow here, but it is best that they have a little shelter from the north winds. Other than that they are beautiful.

You have to make sure you have a large area to plant it in. otherwise it will end up getting cut down 50 years from now, and quite frankly that would be a shame! I think they grow a 50' canopy.
