Also had a couple, one of each sex, try to drink nectar out of the hummingbird feeder. It sits about 10 feet away from my window and when on 'puter I spend as much time watching them.

By this, I mean two orioles  ( I know this is the wrong spelling, but it wasn't the Baltimore kind) LOL I think Teresa should put a spell checker on this grid. LOL

Been working in yard some and my body says to stop and take a break. I will have tomorrow and many more if God so wills, to putter around here. Yard is looking good, and it needs some polishing...you know hand weeding and then raking.

Angie any thing that  blocks light even newspaper can be used to keep weeds down and moisture in. Also the paper will decompose and be plowed back into the ground. Carpet you will need to pick up each year, but a very good idea for scraps of it.
Good luck
Today, I want to make a difference.
Here I am Lord, use me!

There are a lot of carpet stores in Wichita, (or were), and people would swarm their dumpsters in the evenings to retrieve old carpet for garden use. Great for 'tween the rows and on the paths, no mud, no weeds. And it lets the moisture soak through to the subsoil. I would rather mulch with prarie hay, but haven't been able to buy any in the little bales that I can handle, for a long time. It has all gone to the big round bales. I can't handle one of those and nobody wants to deliver. Just get along the best I can----??  ???

Do you know anyone in the Howard area who I could hire to till a garden spot? I have an established spot and also would like to have a new small place tilled. Thank you for any leads.

Do you have a tiller and need someone to run it?  Or do they have to have their own tiller?  Perhaps szcrucish  (sorry about the spelling) could help you?

I don't have one right now and i'm not in any shape to till anything.   Just had surgery the other day and now i'm battling possible pneumonia.  Not sure on that.  When it rains it pours you know.

sorry to hear that Mr. S.  I was trying to move some work your way, but it reads as if you have some own work to do!  Please to take care of yourself!

Hope you are on the mend today. Try some of that honey for medicinal purposes. Or make some mead. You'll still be sick but ya won't care!
