Sarge and Jarhead, you two are  the best on the Forum and both have a great sense of humor. I think filming a day with the two of you together would be a movie that would sell, it would probably have to be X-Rated and have a military interpreter.

Probably would have to be labeled a foreign film.  Nobody would understand it and they probably don't have a "rating" for something like that.  It would be fun to see, though, or even better, to be a part of.

Larry,
Right now if I made a movie with ol Sarge it would be called the Kansas Chainsaw Kill'n. I'm mad at ol Sarge. I spent my hard earned money and bought some bag pipes so ol Sarge could learn how to play Amazing Grace,on the pipes, at my funeral , in about 40 years or so. The ol fool aint got enough wind to blow them up !! But will he excersize to build up his lungs ?? Heck no !! I've tried to get him to go jogging with me on my daily 7 mile run but "he's too tired ". !! Guess he almost got them blowed up one evening but popped a cork or something. His wife thought a coyote had caught one of their guineas. She said it was the God awfulest sound she'd ever heard.

Well, Jarhead, I think he would do a fine job on the old mouthharp.  Besides, I never understood about why people want music at their funeral.  Its not like they're gonna hear it.  However, I did have a neighbor pass a few years ago and all the vets stood and saluted and then as we left, the bagpipes played "Amazing Grace."  It was, I gotta admit, a nice touch.  Maybe you didn't go about this the right way.  You should tell him you think he can't play the pipes.  That'll make him try just to prove you wrong.

Well, Jarhead, I would be glad to play Amazing Grace on my trumpet for you.  Oh, yeah, even though I missed it, Happy Birthday, Sarge.

jarhead

Thanks Janet. You can play taps if you want to but I'll warn you, my eyes leak when taps are played !! If ol Sarge don't learn to play them pipes ,then I aint letting him come to my funeral. If he sneaks into it ,I will come back as a big ass spider in my next life and live under his bed. Just ask Teresa how much ol Sarge likes spiders
