Roma Jean Turner

     John Warren Turner, son of Joseph and Nancy DeWitt Turner, was born November 1, 1882 at Howard, Kansas and departed this life, February 22, 1961 at Sedan, Kansas following a brief illness.
    His formal education was received at the Moline Public School and he held a charter membership in the alumni association.
    He had been actively engaged in the lumber business in Moline for many years and had served in the capacity of City Clerk for the city of Moline.
   Miss Roma Elting and he were united in marriage and to this union one son was born.  She preceded him in death in 1925.
    His survivors are:  One son, George Edwin of the home, one granddaughter Roma Jean of Chanute, several other relatives and many friends.
    Funeral services were held February 24, 1961 at 2:00P.M.: at the Moline Christian Church. Rev. Robert Schultz officiated.
    Rev. Gen Epp sang, "The Lord's Prayer" accompanied by Mrs Epp at the piano.
    Pallbearers were:  Glenn Woodward, Emera Sheel, Harry Jones, Albert Eckert, Will Rosenkrans and Clare Horn.
    Interment was made in the Moline Cemetery under the direction of The Watt Funeral Home, Moline, Kansas.
