Margaret Hedges was born in Morgan County, Ohio, April 22, 1824.  She was married to G. T. Turner, September 7, 1843.  She united with the M.E. church in 1844 and departed this life May 23, 1896 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. E. A. Hawkins, making her age at the time of her death, 72 years, 1 month and 1 day.  Three children survive her: J. H. Turner of Moline, Kansas, Mrs. Michael of Selina, Iowa, and Mrs. E. A. Hawkins of Elk County, Kansas.  She had been a sufferer for a number of years, but in spite of everything, her faith in God never wavered, and she was anxious to depart and be with those gone before.  Her three children were with her in her last hours, her daughter from Iowa, Mrs. Michaels, arriving several days before her death.
