Ada "B" Hopper, 82, of Winfield, Kansas, died February 4, 2010 at Presbyterian Manor in Arkansas City, Kansas.  Mrs. Hopper was born October 8, 1927 in Texhoma, Oklahoma to Nick and Lena (Fitzpatrick) Walthall.  Sh was raised and educated in the Texas panhandle.  She and F. Leland Hopper married on April 29, 1948.  She made her career taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland, on March 17, 2004 and by a stepson, Tommy Hopper.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry Hopper and his wife Donna of Winfield, Kansas, Terry Hopper of Winfield, Kansas, Johnny Hopper and his wife Cathy of Derby, Kansas, and Glenn Hopper of Augusta, Kansas; a brother, A.W. Walthall of Borger, Texas; a sister, Iva Dell Johnson of Spearman, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Family services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2010 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Grenola, Kansas.  Friends may sign a register book from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Miles Funeral Service, Winfield, Kansas.  Memorials are to the William Newton Memorial Healthcare Foundation.  Contributions may be made though  Miles Funeral Home, 4001 E. 9th, Winfield, Kansas 67156.  Online condolences may be made at www.milesfuneralservice.com.
