Hillbilly, both Mr. and Mrs., don't get your knickers in a twist.

Men of middle eastern descent was MY wording because just a couple of months ago YOU were biting our heads off about being a little nicer and not calling people bad names and using "naughty" words! So, if it's ok now, then FU!--- MRS. Hillbilly

What I said a couple months ago was about the general conversation on the Forum.  What I posted on this thread was an example of what I would have said in that situation, it was not directed at anyone specific.  The reason I asked you about it was because of your use of quotations, implying that you were repeating what someone else had said.  Thats all.

Billy, you think the government is smarter than the people? The People own the government and put that government into place. Whenever you say the government is smarter than the people, you are calling me ignorant.

What are you talking about here?  I never said that.  And just an FYI, its probably not a good idea to bring a knife to a gun fight.

Also, as far as the iron goes...can you prove, for a fact, that the iron in Anthony and the parts used in Orange County Choppers, came from the WTC?  Those points aside what about Tower 7?  The gov't says that it collapsed from fire.  Why is it then when other steel framed structures catch fire what remains is usually a burned out haul, not a pile of rubble?  Why was our military told specifilly to stand down that morning?  There are too many unanswered questions.

Hey Cat, you might want to do a little research on the HAARP project.

It is high time we eased the drought suffered by the Tree of Liberty. Let us not stand and suffer the bonds of tyranny, nor ignorance, laziness, cowardice. It is better that we die in our cause then to say that we took counsel among these.

This whole theory of the Government and/or former President Bush or his administration having anything to do with 9/11 is absolutely the biggest bunch of made up crap I have ever seen.

Catwoman

Now, Frank...You have to love that segment of the population that so willingly offers itself up as fodder for jokes to the rest of the civilized world...But then, they're referred to in the Bible, as well..."The Simple Simons of the world shall be with you always..."...Uh...Maybe that's not a direct quote...But you get the picture...LOL.

Cat, I used to tell people how great the Elk County Forum was and how interesting it was, now I don't tell a soul about it and hope they don't find out. The theory about Former President Bush, and/or the goverment having anything to do with 9/11 probably got started by the some of the trash people in the current administration and anyone agreeing with even the thought is furthering their efforts to discredit the Bush Administration and worse to make the current bunch of socialist/communist in Washington look better.

Varmit

And can either of you back up any of what you say or is it just more of your sheeple speak??

The controlled demolition conspiracy theories claim that the collapse of the North Tower, South Tower and 7 World Trade Center was not caused by the plane crash damage, or by resulting fire damage, but by explosives installed in the buildings in advance. The reasoning behind this explained that if the US Government had planted explosives in the building but made it look like terrorists had done the damage, it would have given them a perfect excuse to go to war in Iraq.[61] However, this theory is rejected by the mainstream media and the engineering community.

Demolition theory proponents, such as physicist Steven E. Jones, architect Richard Gage, software engineer Jim Hoffman, and theologian David Ray Griffin, argue that the aircraft impacts and resulting fires could not have weakened the buildings sufficiently to initiate a catastrophic collapse, and that the buildings would not have collapsed completely, nor at the speeds that they did, without additional energy involved to weaken their structures. Jones has presented the hypothesis that thermite or nanothermite[62] was used to demolish the buildings and says he has found evidence of such explosives in the WTC dust.[63][64][65][66]

Many mainstream scientists refuse to debate conspiracy theorists to avoid giving them unwarranted credibility.[67] The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has rejected the theory. Specialists in structural mechanics and structural engineering generally accept the model of a fire-induced, gravity-driven collapse of the World Trade Center buildings, an explanation that does not involve the use of explosives.[68][69][70]

Soon after the day of the attacks, major media sources published that the towers had collapsed due to melted steel.[71][72] Knowledge that the burning temperatures of jet fuel would not melt the steel support structure of the WTC contributed to the belief among skeptics that the towers would not have collapsed without external interference (something other than the planes). NIST does not claim that the steel was melted, but rather that the weakened steel (at 1000 degrees Celsius steel weakens to roughly 10% of its room temperature strength), together with the damage caused by the planes' impacts, caused the collapses.[73] NIST reported that a simulation model based on the assumption that combustible vapors burned immediately upon mixing with the incoming oxygen showed that "at any given location, the duration of [gas] temperatures near 1.000 °C was about 15 min to 20 min. The rest of the time, the calculated temperatures were 500 °C or below."[74]

No plane theories

The "no plane theory," promoted by internet-only videos like 911 Taboo,[132] asserts that this shot of the second impact, taken from a news helicopter, depicts a video composite of a Boeing 767 accidentally appearing from behind a Layer Mask.Nico Haupt and Morgan Reynolds, formerly the chief economist within the Labor Department under the Bush administration argue that no planes were used in the attacks. Reynolds claims it is physically impossible that the Boeing planes of Flights 11 and 175, being largely aluminium, could have penetrated the steel frames of the Towers, and that digital compositing was used to depict the plane crashes in both news reports and subsequent amateur video.[133] "There were no planes, there were no hijackers," Reynolds insists. "I know, I know, I'm out of the mainstream, but that's the way it is." According to David Shayler, "The only explanation is that they were missiles surrounded by holograms made to look like planes," he says. "Watch footage frame by frame and you will see a cigar-shaped missile hitting the World Trade Center." Truth movement veterans tend to distance themselves from "no-planers".[58][133] Discussion of no plane theories have been banned from certain conspiracy theory websites while advocates have been threatened with violence by posters at other conspiracy theory websites.[134]

This is for you Billy and I hate to get on Teresa's bad side so I won't call her out. This is just some of the nut scams that are on the internet. I cannot prove that those pieces of metal came from the twin towers. Nor can you disprove that they did. With your way of thinking, those didn't come from the Towers because they are not painted with thermite nor do they have any explosive material on them. Just proving that YOU are not the only NUT on the internet.

You might not want to use Wikipedia as anyone can post anything on there as fact.  Also, I don't buy into the "no planes theory".  Also, I don't think that you are too American in your thinking.

And just a thought...anyone that has knowledge of engineering answer me this.  Seeing as how the planes didn't hit the center of the towers, wouldn't it be logical that given the structure damage caused by the impact and the resulting fire, the towers would have collapsed at more of an angle?  Kind of like the game Jenga, if you pull a block out of one side that side collapses first.

So, like the game of Jenga, being a miniature version of the tower, it's made of solid wooden blocks, making the whole structure solid. You would need to make your support columns about the size of a toothpick, if you wanted to scale this and your cement floors would be about the size of a cardboard box cut up and laid flat. Depending on your scale. Now, let's add several ounces of fuel to the center of it and see which collapses first, Jenga or toothpicks and cardboard.

Yours truly,

Ok, so all those pictures they took of people jumping out of the Twin Towers was computer imposed??? I am sorry Maxine and I can not believe our goverment would do that. I know our goverment is rotten but that just goes to far.
