Having an argument on another board about global warming.  Someone mentioned that we owe third world countries for using up all their resources and wiping them out with our greed and so we owe it to these poor countries to send them all this money for recompense for what we've done.

Your thoughts?

If third world countries send back all the humanitarian aid and food that we have given them over the last 200 years then we should then compensate them on being left in the stone age.  If you want huricane, tsunami, earthquake, or famine relief then you have to accept where that help came from and what technology and industry did to our planet to get to the abilty to help anyone on the world at any time.

The civilized world has done a lot of good in the world.  Not just all the bad.  What has a under achiever ever done to get the same respect as the over achiever?
