John Lee Tunison, 88, of Belknap, died Tuesday at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Sedan.
  Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard with Pastor Earl Tresner officiating.  Interment will be held in the Belknap Cemetery.
  Friends may call from noon until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
  Memorials are suggested to the Belknap Community Church, Chautauqua County 4-H Scholarship Fund and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, and contributions may be left with the funeral home.
  Mr. Tunison was born Sept. 20, 1918 on a farm near Belknap in Chautauqua County, the son of Fredrick and Bessie (Shupp) Tunison. He graduated from Moline High School in 1936.
  He married Wilma Camp in August 1946 and she died in 1954.
  Mr. Tunison was a lifetime farmer and rancher in Chautauqua County.  He served on the Belknap Rural No. 7 School Board, the Cedar Vale Co-Op Board and received the Soil Conservation Bankers Award in 1965.  He was a 4-H leader for many years and was a member of the Belknap Methodist Church.
  Mr. Tunison is survived by a son, J. L. Tunison, Moline; two daughters, Janet Rash and Wilma Bell, both of Moline; a sister, Dorothy McDonald, Canon City, Colo.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
