Tomorrow, October the 14th, Mr. and Mrs. Fleak, among Howard's older residents, will have reached the 61st milestone of happy married life.  Not quite so strong of late years, both are about in their usual health.  Mr. Fleak comes regularly to his place of business and Mrs. Fleak looks after the ways of her household as she has always done.  Their many friends rejoice with them that they have been permitted to enjoy so many years together.

Married in 1877, they lived for a time at Edina, Missouri, in Knox County, coming to Elk County in '79.  They lived for ten years on their farm southeast of Howard and which they still own.  The health of Mrs. Fleak failing, thy moved in to Howard and built a comfortable home.  After some years, they sold this property and some years ago built the one they now occupy on the east side of town.  They have always been among our best citizens, both in business and social ilfe.
