Leonard Devon Teter, 83 of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011.  He was born May 23, 1927 in Oxford, Kansas to Donald Herbert and Frances (Holman) Teter.

On March 9, 1947, he married the former Leretha Belva Beery in Winfield, Kansas.  Leonard was an electrician for Phillips Petroleum Company before his retirement.  He was a charter member of the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville. He was a member of the Akdar Shriner's, Masonic Lodge, Eagles, and the Antique Tractor Club of Caney, Kansas.  Leonard loved working with his hands and was very mechanically inclined.  He restored a 1938 Farmall tractor.  His 1927 Model-T won numerous awards at car shows.  It was voted Best of Choice by the public at the Akdar Shrine Car Show in Tulsa.  He attended the Daryl Starbird show five times and won each time.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Leretha, of the home; four sisters, Velma Johnston of Fort Worth, Texas, Edith Field of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Delores Penner of Mesa, Arizona, and Illene Warren of Ponca City, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.  Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Phillip Teter.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Comforting Hands Hospice, 2450 SE Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006 or Masonic Lodge of Bartlesville, 610 NE Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006.  Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home, 4201 Nowata Road, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006.
