Home Grown Terror
By Rabbi Nachum Shifren

American Muslims Learn to Slit Throats--in N.Y.??!

You gotta love these terrorists! They make a video for the world to see , and tell us that the majority of America are Muslims--WITHOUT A DOUBT!

But I ask my fellow Americans tonight to take a closer look at the video: you'll see something that I bet you skipped over. The leaders of the Muslim terrorists, bent on vanquishing America, are home-grown blacks. In fact, I could've sworn that Muhammad character was an ex-teacher buddy of mine, constantly griping to me about how the Whites must be made to pay....(for what? to whom?which Whites?)

I'm waiting for Rev. Al Sharpton to call these thugs and punks, "black interlopers!"

Looking closely at the leaders of the female Jihaddists, again, you'll see a black woman marching in front. These are not Blacks from Mogadishu or Somalia, brought in to "foment" the local brothers. Nor are they African nationalists, or radical separatists, here to stoke revolution.

No, I'll tell you who these miscreants are: THEY'RE MY FORMER STUDENTS!

Interesting read, but at least one  forum member's eyes will glaze over at the thought of forced community service.

Hmm i pretty much agree with him.  As far as forced community service, i don't know about it.  I don't think one would have to force community service on them, necessarily but maybe something along the lines of Junior Achievement program.  They can work and learn and put their skills to good use to create and produce something that will benefit them as well as society.  That would be acceptible service and teach them that hard work and ingenuity will give them the things they want.
Curb your politician.  We have leash laws you know.

Had me until the community service bit.  Mandatory community service is nothing more than a way to make a person a slave to the State.
It is high time we eased the drought suffered by the Tree of Liberty. Let us not stand and suffer the bonds of tyranny, nor ignorance, laziness, cowardice. It is better that we die in our cause then to say that we took counsel among these.

Your right.  Forced labor is forced labor.  We fought a war over that once!

That was an interesting column.  The Rabbi talks about "a socialistic educating system", yet all the fixes he proposed sound more socialistic.  IMHO.

I think there is a fine line between community service and forced labor.  I didn't read forced labor in the article anywhere.  Community service is considered voluntary unless ordered by a judge because you broke the law.  Colleges look for students in high school who volunteer for community service because it shows a commitment from the student.  The last time I was in the hospital, there was a young lady who came around each morning about 10 AM offering coffee and pastries.  Just a high school kid doing community service, not forced labor.

Anyway, it was a good read, thanks for posting it.  Maybe, I am not seeing it the same as the rest of you, but I enjoyed it.

I moved to Howard Kansas in January 2006.  There were no other rentals in town so I rented a duplex from HUD.  I was soon paying the maximum rent because of my income.  Imagine my surprise when I received a letter in the mail telling me I was required to do community service because I was living in HUD housing!!!!

Like everything else, had the government not got involved in the housing
business, we'd all have equal opportunity.  It will get worse.

But I thought that was what some of you wanted. People who got subsidized would "pay' by doing chores. Make up your minds folks! I don't mean you Twirl, I don't know what your situation was.  It's just that there are some on here who always seem to want someone to be angry with, or someone to feel smug about and superior to. So no matter what someone does they will find fault with it.
What, pray tell, is wrong with someone who received help chipping in on trash pick up, maintenance, painting, mowing, snow removal, small repairs etc. That's assuming of course they are healthy enough to do it.
Red, equal opportunity to do what? I don't understand your point.

Maybe you should check this out, twirldoggy.  I tried to read up on this by searching HUD and community service.  I only see that community service is required of those in government housing who are on government subsistence such as welfare or other government programs.  I read that if you are gainfully employed in unsubsidized employment for more than 30 hours a week, you are not required to do community service.  Check it out closely and make sure it applies to you.

Just trying to help.
