False Rumor regarding Railroad

L. H. Pittman, Local Santa Fe Agent, Says

There is a false rumor being circulated to the effect that the A.T. & S. F. Railway Co. expect to discontinue the freight train and take up the track on the Howard branch immediately after July first.  There is positively no foundation for such sumor and as long as the branch is a paying proposition it will be maintained and trains will be run.

Of course if it becomes a losing proposition it will no doubt be discontinued.
