I just got a message from Jennifer Harrod that her mother, Louise Morgan, passed away this morning.  Information on services will follow when received.

     Anita "Louise" Morgan, age 76, a resident of Howard, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, Kansas. She was born on April 17, 1933 in Howard, Kansas, the daughter of Clifford Oren and Helen Alice (Adams) Hinkle.

On December 21, 1952 Louise was united in marriage to Curtis Everett Morgan at the First Christian Church in Howard. Louise worked as a bookkeeper for the Brown Feed Store and a clerk for Batson's Drug Store. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Louise also was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Batson's Bowling Team, Church Choir where she played the piano and organ, Town and Country Bridge Club, Elk County Lites and the Cantatas.

Louise is survived by her husband Curtis of the home;  her mother, Helen Hinkle of Howard, Kansas; one son, Jerald Morgan and his wife Barbi of Howard, Kansas;  two daughters, Jennifer Harrod of Crete, Nebraska and Jeanette Garduno and her husband Pedro of Crete, Nebraska;  four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Alan Morgan; her father, Clifford Hinkle; and one brother, Wallace DuWayne Hinkle.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas with Pastor Charles Cryderman officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Grace Lawn Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to either the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary or the United Methodist Church and may be left with funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Zimmerman Funeral Home, Howard, Kansas.
