Howard Courant
August 20, 1942

Fred Andrew Depew of Grenola, and Miss Edith Jontra of Howard, were united in marriage at the Methodist parsonage at Grenola, Sunday morning, August 16th, by the pastor, Rev. Duff Wagoner.  They were attended by Miss Muriel Jontra, the bride's sister, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Depew, the groom's brother and wife.

Mrs. Depew is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Jontra of Howard and for some time has been employed in the Smith & Goodwin store.  She expects to continue her work there while her husband is in service.  Mr. Depew is a son of Mrs. Iva Ferguson of Grenola and was an industrious young farmer of that community.  He was one of the boys who left Howard Tuesday for Fort Leavenworth and is now a member of the United States Army.

The many friends of Mr. and Mrs Depew wish they happiness and prosperity in the wedded life.
