Cheryl Unruh writes for the Emporia Gazette and runs the Flyover People website.  She was in Howard for the Bring Your Own Lawn Chair event.  Her article on her day in Howard is at:

While you're there, sniff around her site a little, there's a lot of interesting things about the area just to our north on there.

What a well-written article! I attended the BYOLC event and I have to say the excitement and enthusiasm of the day was contagious. I left the gathering feeling even more energized and motivated to help Howard stay viable and to be a place where people want to live, raise families, start businesses and stay until retirement. It's a great town, and it's fun to see it through the eyes of those who don't live here (as I once was a few short years ago). Thanks for this link!

This is a great piece! I'll keep following the site for other coverage.
It truly is "a wonderful life."
