Ms B. Warm water does help him somewhat, and he does use it for some relief but it doesn't last very long. Thank you . by the way My mom also told us about the baby cabbages.Didn't work. I'll eat them now if they are fresh and sweet but we always used to get ones that were bitter...nasty little buggers!

We would occasionally add spinach leaves to a tossed salad, or make a sandwich using both spinach and lettuce.

Diane Amberg

Yum. I love a baby spinach salad with crisp bacon pieces, toasted sunflower seeds, grilled shrimp and raspberry vinaigrette.

Brussel sprouts with a little creamy italian dressing drizzled on them.  Super good!

Ms Bear

Brussel Sprouts cut in half and tossed or sprayed with a little bit of olive oil and roasted, then drizzle a little bit of maple syrup ( the real stuff), very good.

If they have been picked very long they do get strong tasting.  I like to pick and eat right away if I can find someone to grow them.  I don't have very good luck growing anything.

I had some pepper plants in pots by the back door and noticed they looked different.  Looked out later and there were two kittens curled up in the pot asleep.  Guess I am growing kittens.

Diane Amberg

Great ideas. I will try them all. Thanks.

Diane be sure to let me know how your kitten pots get along!  :D :D

HA! Perhaps I'll skip the kitten pots. I hate fur in my mouth. ;D ;D ;D

I hope there isn't any fertilizer in mine.  I had three cats and now have ten.  Started with one that someone dropped off, about every six months they drop off some more.  My old mama cat that was the first one I found by the street is nursing the last one that I found along with the three she had.

One of my dogs was dumped there also, a few days later when I drove past that corner I saw something brown and thought someone had dumped another dog.  My son-in-law walked down and looked and it was a man sleeping on the ground.  I called the police and let them take care of him.  We trimmed all the trees that were hanging low enough for anyone to kind of hide in.
