Saw the West Elk play last night - The Boarding House Reach. It was great, some good actors. It's going on again tonight (Saturday) at 7 pm in the auditorium. Tickets are only $4 for adults. Well worth the time.

There were the normal high-school mishaps, but I thought they were minor and didn't detract from the flow of things. West Elk has some very talented students. Some good people on lighting as well.

We went to the play Friday night too! It was a lot of fun. The actors and the crew worked really hard and did a great job. I miss doing plays in school! ;D

I just got the biggest shock. I am planning on going to Topeka for Thanksgiving and maybe the weekend and had told my homemaker that the next time she was due, I would be gone. I have her every 2 weeks.........well, when Joanna posted on facebook about her open house today, I thought I still had 2 weeks to plan................and guess what, tomorrow is the weekend of The outhouse tours and the Howard open houses and NEXT week is Turkey day..................Now, I will spend rest of the time wondering where I lost that brain cell that is suppose to know what day of the week (Or date) it is.
Gee...........blew my mind and I have to rethink my weekend, now.
Tomorrow is Friday, no brainer, I do the bulletin in the morning............and had told one of the Elders from church, I would help him in the afternoon.......so guess it will be Saturday before I can visit with the local people.......if wind will stay down and all is well.
Ever have a brain-shock like this..Thank God I did call kennel and reserve a cage early this month.............whee.............sigh!!!
:o :o ::) :-[ :-[ I think this must be Senior Forgetfulness..........
Today, I want to make a difference.
Here I am Lord, use me!

Judy, it's that Kansas wind.It blew a week off your calendar! ;D
  We just came back from doing the 27 fire preventions awards. As always the kids were so cute and the families so proud. The Ladies Auxiliary really out did themselves with lots of fresh cookies, cupcakes and brownies. Check that off my annual to do list.Now Thanksgiving and then work more on the Christmas party for the firefighters' kids.

Judy, I know the feeling.

Tonight, my wife and her cousin will attend the wedding of my son-in-law's cousin.  Why I don't know.  I guess because she got invited.  I, fortunately, will not get to attend having been summoned by my son and daughter-in-law to baby sit GD #3.  We have also been invited back down to the beach on Sunday, just to hang out and then again on Friday, next, when we will celebrate our Thanksgiving.  We celebrate on the Friday after because my son-in-law's family celebrates on Thursday.  It is supposed to rain on Sunday, but should be nice for the holiday weekend.

Way back in September I reported watching the huge windmill blades being transported onto Washington from Highway 99.  As usual, I forgot about the little camera that I carry with me all the time.  Not so today.  Today we were going east on Washington when we met a portion of the tower, followed by three blades.  Two of them had already turned onto Washington by the time we reached Twilight Manor where we were flagged down.  We stopped, more because I wanted to see this third blade turn the corner than anything else.  After a short consultation, the flagman motioned us to go on, so go on we did.  Across the highway, around the car wash and parked on the south side of it where we had a good view of the operation.  Suddenly, I remembered my little camera and this is what I caught.

I just had some BlueBell black walnut ice cream over a banana and Dr. Pepper syrup over all. Yummy!  :D :D

My son took me to the Windmill Museum in Lubbock a couple of years ago and they had several of these wind towers there with one on the ground in pieces that we could walk up to.  Took a picture of my son standing beside part of it and he looked awfully small.

That was a good picture, Mother. Wonder if they will ever get all of them done? Seems like they have been delivering pieces of the wind towers like forever.
