I heard later in the day that 160 highway was closed between Moline and Independence due to high water this morning. The mail truck had to use an alternate route to get here.

It often closes over by Oak Valley - where the low water area is just east of town.

There was some flash flooding of roads in Howard mid- to late-morning. Not even really flash-flooding - just enough water to cover the street completely.

We had a coastal storm come through here Thurs. night and all day yesterday. Got 4.02 in the rain gauge. Beat the record for the day.
