Thelma Juanita  Eubanks, age 80, a resident of Moline, Kansas and formely of Howard, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Jane Phillip Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  Juanita was born in Stella, Missouri on July 31, 1928, the daughter of Archie and Mary (Hopkins) Sanders.

On October 1, 1952, Juanita was united in marriage to Albert Franklin Eubanks at Bentonville, Arkansas.  In February of 1964, Juanita and Albert moved to Howard where they owned and operated Eubank's Garage until their retirement in 1994.  Juanita enjoyed making quilts, knitting, crocheting, reading, putting puzzles together, and being outdoors in her garden.

Juanita is survived by two sons, Albert Eubanks of Casper, Wyoming, and Leroy Eubanks; two daughters, Thelma Welker of Channelview, Texas and Mabel Lewis of Pittsurg, Kansas; one stepson, Johnny Eubanks of Joplin, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Bonnie Newcomer of Lawrence, Kansas and Cheryl Ann Thompson of Oronogo, Missouri; three brothers, Wesley Sanders of Silsbee, Texas, Lester Sanders of Stella, Missouri, and Jerry Sanders of Granby, Missouri; two sisters, Avanell Tipton and Christene Dunbar, both of Neosho, Missouri; eighteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband Albert, on October 31, 1995; and three brothers, Howard, James, and Kenneth.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas with Pastor Robin Haines officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday, June 29, 2009 from 2:00 to 7:00 at the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.  Family suggests contributions to the Howard City Library and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Zimmeman Funeral Home, Howard, Kansas.
