Today's--------good one.....

My grandmother is so practical.  Let me tell you a story to illustrate my point.

One day she was sitting on the beach, wearing a proper hat, of course, and she was engrossed in a good novel.

Suddenly, she was interrupted by a beggar.

"Please, Ma'am," the stranger said, extending his hand.  "I haven't eaten all day."

She sized him up, then said, "Good. Now you won't have to worry about the cramps when you go in for a swim!"

Today's-----------hah...........

Three blondes died and are at the pearly gates of Heaven. Saint Peter tells them that they can enter the gates if they can answer one simple question. Saint Peter asks the first blonde, "What is Easter?" The blonde replies, "Oh, that's easy! It's the holiday in November when everyone gets together, eats turkey, and are thankful."
"Wrong!," replies Saint Peter, and proceeds to ask the second blonde the same question, "What is Easter?"

The second blonde replies, "Easter is the holiday in December when we put up a nice tree, exchange presents, and celebrate the birth of Jesus."

St. Peter looks at the second blonde, shakes his head in disgust, tells her she's wrong, and then peers over his glasses at the third blonde. He asks, "What is Easter?"

The third blonde smiles confidently and looks Saint Peter in the eyes, "I know what Easter is."

"Oh?" says Saint Peter, incredulously.

"Easter is the Christian holiday that coincides with the Jewish celebration of Passover. Jesus and his disciples were eating at the last supper and Jesus was later deceived and turned over to the Romans by one of his disciples. The Romans took him to be crucified and he was stabbed in the side, made to wear a crown of thorns, and was hung on a cross with nails through his hands. He was buried in a nearby cave which was sealed off by a large boulder."

Saint Peter smiles broadly with delight.

The third blonde continues...

"Every year the boulder is moved aside so that Jesus can come out... and, if he sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter!"

Today's-------old, repeat, back to the archives........

After a particularly poor game of golf, a popular club member skipped the clubhouse and started to go home. As he was walking to the parking lot to get his car, a policeman stopped him and asked, "Did you tee off on the sixteenth hole about twenty minutes ago?"

"Yes," the golfer responded.

"Did you happen to hook your ball so that it went over the trees and off the course?" the cop asked.

"Yes, I did. How did you know?" the golfer asked.

"Well," said the policeman very seriously, "Your ball flew out onto the highway and crashed through a driver's windshield. The car went out of control, crashing into five other cars and a fire truck. The fire truck couldn't make it to the fire, and the building burned down. So, what are you going to do about it?"

The golfer thought it over carefully and responded, "I think I'll close my stance a little bit, tighten my grip and lower my right thumb."

Joe finally tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend.

One evening, after the honeymoon, he was assembling some equipment for an upcoming hunting trip with the boys.

His bride stood there in the garage watching him.  Finally, she spoke.  "Honey, I've been thinking.  Now that we are married, I think it's time for you to quit hanging out with the guys.  Maybe you should just sell all that hunting and camping stuff."

Joe got a horrified look on his face.  He said, "Now you're sounding like my ex-wife."

She said, "Ex-wife!  I didn't know you were married before!"

He said, "I wasn't."

Today's--------I think I might have heard this one......

Well, it is not a pretty story -- about 200 dead crows on the expressway just outside of Boston.

A bird pathologist examined the remains and determined that all the birds had been killed by impact with trucks, none by cars.

The city then hired an ornithologist behaviorist to explore the mystery.  He was able to determine the cause in short order.  When crows eat road kill, they always post a lookout crow in a nearby tree, to warn of impending danger.

His conclusion was that the lookout crow could say "Cah!" but could not say "Truck!"

A trucking firm was looking to hire some new drivers.  It specifically wanted to hire a pair of drivers to drive together on long hauls.

Two rednecks, Zed and Luke, applied for the job.  The manager decided to interview them separately.  He asked Zed a few questions about his ability to drive trucks.  After a while, he concluded that Zed was a few bricks shy of a fence and then called Luke in.

He asked Luke, "You are driving and Zed is in the back asleep.  You are about to be in a horrific crash.  What would you do?"

Luke thought and thought and then he said, "I know. I know.  I'd wake up Zed."

The manager said, "Why would you do that?"

Luke says, "cuz Zed ain't never seen a horrific crash before."

A man was checking into a hotel when he saw a golden retriever sitting on a rug near the hotel elevator.  Talking to the man behind the desk, he asked, "Does your dog bite?"  The attendant said, "No, he doesn't."  But as the man put his hand down to pet the dog, it bit his hand and held on so tightly that the man had to throw him across the room.

Returning to the desk, the man said, "I thought you said that your dog didn't bite."  He directed the attendants attention to the dog, who had now returned to the rug.  The attendant said, "That's not my dog."
