Today's----------old, still funny........

I went fishing one morning, but after a short time I ran out of worms.  Then I saw a cottonmouth with a frog in his mouth.  Frogs are good bass bait.

Knowing the snake couldn't bite me with the frog in his mouth, I grabbed him right behind the head, took the frog and put it in my bait bucket.

Now, the dilemma was how to release the snake without getting bit.

So, I grabbed my bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a little in his mouth.  His eyes rolled back, and he went limp.

I released him into the lake without incident and carried on fishing, using the frog.

A little while later, I felt a nudge on my foot.  It was that snake, with two more frogs.

Today's--------oh no!......

Mom was off running errands.  Dad was relaxing on the couch.  Little Susie, just three years old, brought him a 'cup of tea' in a toy tea cup.

It was just water, but Dad made a big show of enjoying the "tea" very much.

Delighted, she brought him several more, one after the other.  He drank each one and showered her with praise.

When Mom came home, Dad said to her, "I want you to see the cutest thing."  Then he called out to his daughter, "Susie, bring your mother and me a cup of your delicious tea."

Susie obliged and brought out two of the toy tea cups.  Dad drank his with great relish.  "Ahhhh," he said, smacking his lips.

Mom didn't drink hers.  She said, "Honey, did it occur to you that the only place Susie can reach to get water is the toilet?"

Today's---------hah..........

A man drove his car into a ditch on a country lane.  He hailed a farmer passing by with a horse.

"Could your horse pull my car out of the ditch?" the motorist pleaded.

"Buddy's a big, strong horse," the farmer replied.  "We'll see."  He hitched Buddy up to the car, then said, "Pull, Samson, pull!"

Buddy didn't budge.

The farmer cried, "Pull, Hercules, pull!"

Nothing.

Finally, the farmer yelled, "Pull, Buddy, pull!"

The horse effortlessly pulled the man's car out of the ditch.  The driver was grateful, but mystified.  "Why did you keep calling your horse by the wrong name?"

"Well, you see," the farmer replied, "Buddy is blind, lazy and a bit stupid.  If he thought he was the only one pulling, he wouldn't even try."

Today's-------------labeled as a true story......or as my nephew would say......"They walk among us".....

A few months after my husband died, I was trying to set up an appointment for myself to get a new pair of reading glasses.

I called the eye doctor and a day was arranged.  I am diabetic, so the lady on the phone insisted that I must have the eye dilation exam first and then the refraction exam.  I was instructed to have my husband drive me to the office and back, because the dilation interferes with safe driving.

I explained that this would be impossible, as my husband had died recently.

After a long pause, and much shuffling of paper, she asked, "Maybe he could bring you in on another day?"

A cop responds to an accident scene.  A very elderly lady has driven her car up over the curb, through a hedge and onto the lawn of an industrial park.

After determining that she is OK, the cop says, "Ma'am, do you have a driver's license?"

The old lady says, "No, I don't.  The doctor told me I can drive without one."

The cop says, "I'm sorry, ma'am, but a doctor wouldn't tell you that."

The old lady insisted, "Yes, he did.  The last time I had my eyes checked, he asked to see my driver's license, then he cut it up with scissors and threw it in the trash.  He said to me, 'You won't be needing this anymore.'  Those were his exact words."

"I have a flat tahr," the lady says.

"I can help you with that.  But what's with the bouquets?"

"Well, when you break down they tell you to put flares in the front and flares in the back, so that's what I did!"
