Yes, there is pollution and we know this already, our children are taught this already, why do we need to spend $500 million and pass legislation for it?

Wilma, thank you so much for pointing out the typo I made.  That should have been "hole".  Yes, I know the difference.  Now, can you please answer my question?

Pam, what exactly is wrong with my mindset?
It is high time we eased the drought suffered by the Tree of Liberty. Let us not stand and suffer the bonds of tyranny, nor ignorance, laziness, cowardice. It is better that we die in our cause then to say that we took counsel among these.

Bud I am so done with you and your negative mindset it ain't even funny. I have faith in the human race AND my country.

I will restate my question, what exactly is wrong with my mindset?  I just call it the way I see it.

What question was that, Billy?

Wilma, would you please show the proof that greenhouse gases are the cause for global warming, and not the natural cycle that has occured thoughout history?  Can you show me where man made pollutions caused the little ice age of the middle ages?  Or how about the global temptures that varied before man was even here?  What harm exactly have greenhouse gasses caused?  and before you cite the whole in the ozone, that is not definative.

It seems to me you embrace every negative thing you hear as the gospel truth and if somebody tries to shine some light in there you come out swingin and want your dark back.

It was pretty obvious before I was off that you and me were of different schools but that doesn't mean either one of us is right. Things are not as bad as you think they are and they are not as good as I WISH they were. They are somewhere in the middle and can go either way. I'm swingin for the Light side.

Give me crap about it or not I BELIEVE we create what our reality is by the energy we put into it. That does not make me some new age crackpot. Light Dark Good Evil it ALL responds to the energy given to it. You ARE what you think.........

I also call em as I see em....we just see em in different lights.

Varmit

Pam, just because I don't like the direction the country is going, that makes me negative?

Yes, I am going to defend my point of view on things, just like anybody else.  Doesn't mean I am in the dark.

No doubt about it, we are of varying opinions, and thats fine.  Frankly, I hope you are right.  I hope that the current situtation we are in is just a minor setback and that we will get back on the right track.  But thats not going to happen if We The People don't start standing on our own as individuals and standing together in defense of our rights.

As far as our reality, I think that you are right to a certain degree.  I think that that philosphosy is a good one to apply in our personal lives but there comes a point when the situation is bigger than just ourselves.

So many people fail to understand this principle: what you expect is what you get. What you resist, persists. What you give is what you get. Your perception is YOUR reality.

Billy, it's good that you see the wisdom in this philosophy, but do try to see it beyond our personal lives. Think of a nation as a single entity, then apply this principle. If, as a group, people expect others to be greedy, lazy, corrupt or any kind of "bad," then, of course, that's what the group will see. They won't see the others who are generous, hard-working, honest, etc. If a group holds the notion that someone is trying to take something away, the group will repeatedly find this to be the case, which gives the group justification for its belief. The manner (and motive) in which a person treats another will determine how that person views the world; how a nation treats another (and its own people) is the measure of its greatness or folly.

Be kind and you will recognize kindness. Be angry and fearful, and you'll be given reasons for anger and fear. If you spout doom-and-gloom, you're going to believe that's all that exists, and that becomes your reality. A good book contains this message: Ask and you shall receive. (Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.)  That goes both ways, good and bad. You want it? You got it.

When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. (Wayne Dyer)

Indy, I think that this philosophy can only be applied to our personal lives.  Because there are people who are greedy, lazy, corrupt and bad.  No matter how bad we want them not to be.

Yes, I agree too. There are terrible people out there. But aren't you assuming there are many more bad than good? Police officers deal with bad folks as a living. Sometimes even they have to be reminded that not everyone is a bad guy. On the ambulance, we see patients and families at their worst. But not everyone is a drunk who wrecked their car or beat up their kids. We have to be so careful that the wish to punch out the one guy doesn't carry over to the next call. Is everybody assumed to be up to something until proven otherwise? I still think there is too much fear mongering going on. By the way, if you can, look up Wired Magazine. There is an article by Kevin Kelly,   The New Socialism - Global Collectivist Society is Coming On Line. 5/22/09 You might find it interesting.

Which means they reap the fruits of the seeds they sow and the energy they put out.
