Unfortunately when Pres. Bush established the Patriot Act, it was left very open ended and it was just a matter of time before this happened. I'm not for warrantless wire tapping for the same reason. Somebody will eventually abuse the privilege. It's a shame, but not everyone can or will use good judgement.
