Kathryn Virginia Fornshell, age 94, a resident of Howard, Kansas, passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 at her home.  She was born on January 29, 1915 in Wichita, Kansas, the youngest of five children of William Henry and Leah Marie (Bell) Buechel.

Kathryn graduated from Wichita High School and attended Emporia State for one year.  Sh was united in marriage to Robert Fornshell , and he preceded her in death.  Kathryn worked as a clerk for the Wichita Courthouse and was also a homemaker  She was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed collecting toys that would talk and sing.

Kathryn is survived by her nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one nephew.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Howard United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Cryderman officiating.  Family suggests contributions to the Howard United Methodist Church and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Zimmerman Funeral Home, Howard, Kansas.
