Pam there has never been any documented proof whatsoever, from a reliable source, that George W. Bush had a Cocaine problem or ever used Cocaine for that matter.  I was around him several times in the early 80s both at the Midland Country Club and at the Petroleum club, we sat behind them at the local football games. He drank some but lots of people did. Midland was the heart of the US Oil patch and lots of people in the Oil Patch drink some and maybe a lot, I doubt that he was a a complete alcoholic, I suppose that will always be debated, but to say he had a nasty Cocaine habit is totally irresponsible.

I am jumping in here only to ask if you knew Jack Jordan who was a geologist and lived in Midland for many years.
HELP!  I'm talking and I can't shut up!

I came...  I saw...  I had NO idea what was going on...

LOL...whatever... I never said he was full blown achoholic...I said he had a drinking problem which he himself and other members of his family have acknowledged in interviews. No I never personally saw him use cocaine...I've never hung out with any "mucky-mucks". I also don't care...... same as I never cared about Clintons sex life or any of the other presidents bad habits or scandals. It is not irresponsible to bring it up unless bringing up ANYbodys ancient history is irresponsible.
Being Irish, he had an abiding sense of tragedy, which sustained him through temporary periods of joy.

No no sweetie, that was a question for Frawin.  The quote I copied and pasted came from him and I had to go back just now to make sure I put the name at the end.  Larryj

Sorry Larry I had to leave for awhile. I don't recall a Jack Jordan, although I knew several Jordans in Midland. I met lots of really interesting and super nice people in Midland in the 27 years I spent there. I was in Oil and Gas Marketing and dealt directly with lots of small independent operators and dealt with the oil and gas marketers  with the bigger operators.
