Mr. and Mrs. Fred Duckworth celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, March 25th, with a family observance at their home in Howard.  Fred Duckworth and Ina Bright wre married March 20, 1906 at Longton, Kansas.

All of their children and grandchildren were home, with the exception of their two little great granddaughters, Nancy and Becky Davidson, of Rolla, who were ill with chicken pox.

Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Duckworth and family of Rolla; Mr. and Mrs. H. M. (Susie) Mahaffy and family of Wichita; Mr. and Mrs. Clem (Mary) Portenier and family of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. F. E. (Bill) Duckworth and family of Dearing; Mr. and Mrs. Earl (Wilda) Daising and family of Pampa, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Donald (Luella) Delventhal and family of Cherryvale; Mr. and Mrs. L.A. (Mike) Duckworth of Wichita.

All of the family attended Sunday morning church services in a group.  A delicious fried chicken dinner was served by Mrs. Winn and her staff at the Winn's Cafe, to the 33 members of the family and Rev. and Mrs. P. L. Mitchell.  The clever place cards and favors were made by Luella Delventhal.  The table centerpiece was a four tiered cake baked and beautifully decorated by a granddaughter, Wilma Nichol.

The rest of the day was spent at the Duckworth home, visiting and taking pictures.  Several friends called during the afternoon.  Fred and Isa received many lovely cards, gifts, flowers and messages of congratulations from their neighbors, friends and family.
