The freezing rain is really coming down; the trees are swaying in the wind and leaning closer to the ground. I heard on the news that part of Ark City is without power because of downed power lines. Some folks may not be able to watch KU after all in the sweet sixteen. Happy that I do have a means to keep warm if the power goes out, some folks do not. Keep safe everybody!

My goodness, you are really getting pounded out there. I'll be thinking of you tonight.

We just lost our first tree limb. I imagine there will be quite a few more around town before the night is finished.

Jim's already been told the paper will be late - no word on how late.

I'm very thankful to be home and safe. Even parked in the garage tonight.

I'm ready for the snow to get here.  We sure don't need any more ice.  The limbs are all but touching the ground now.  I talked to my sister that lives just north of Cambridge about 8:00 and she was out of electricity.  Ours has went off twice but so far it has came right back on.  Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

OK!   I am waving the white flag!
I don't mind missing the snow.......and hopefully we will miss
the ice and snow today.

My rain gauge had just over an inch of rain in it..........and with all the water standing........I can't
get from my apartment without hip-boots............my guage must be cracked or maybe the rain
blew side ways...........anyone have an idea of how much rain Longton got???

it is so soggy..........and it isn't doing my arthritis any good  at all. don't think we need worry about not enough water for planting..........cause we may have too much now.....Oh How I love Kansas!!!!

Hope you all stay warm and dry.
I will stay in one more day and hopefully Sunday will be better.
God bless
Today, I want to make a difference.
Here I am Lord, use me!

The wind is just getting stronger and stronger out there.. It is just howling and whipping everything around!  There will be more damage I am sure around town.

Power is out in Severy, at least at Tripco.

Five power trucks were out on K-99 near US 400 about an hour ago.

Snow was coming down heavy in Severy but not accumulated.

Trees or parts of trees are down on Randolph and on Washington in Howard.

The worst of this storm is in areas that voted heavy Republican, I say we blame this on "O", if Bush was still in office there are those that would want to blame it on him.

The gauge at the Longton water plant indicated 1.7 inches at 8:45 am  28 Mar.  River is up.
the older I get the more I know how little I knew when I knew it all
