THE BRIDGE

Having 8 Sisters, a Mother, a wife, Daughter, this  kind of struck home. (Really I Love and have loved them all very much, but women can be a challenge).

A man was riding his Harley along a California beach when suddenly the
sky clouded above his head and, in a booming voice, the Lord said,
'Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant
you one wish'.

The biker pulled over and said, 'Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride
over anytime I want'.

The Lord said, 'Your request is materialistic, think of the enormous
challenges for that kind of undertaking; the supports required to reach
the bottom of the Pacific and the concrete and steel it would take! It
will nearly exhaust several natural resources . I can do it, but it is
hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little
more time and think of something that could possibly help mankind' .

The biker thought about it for a long time. Finally, he said, 'Lord, I
wish that I, and all men, could understand our wives and girlfriends; I
want to know how she feels inside, what she's thinking when she gives me
the silent treatment, why she cries, what she means when she says
nothing's wrong, and how I can make a woman truly happy'.

The Lord replied, 'You want two lanes or four on that bridge'?

Well, do you think that is how my husband feels??  He has a wife and 3 girls!!!

Ang, my guess is that your husband feels love and feels like he is special everyday. There is something special between Daddys and Daughters. There is noone more special than my wife of almost 45 years, COMPLEX SOMETIMES, BUT SPECIAL ALL OF THE TIME., and my guess is that your husband feels the same. I know your husbands family pretty well and I know that Louie and Gracie have had a great marriage and that their family has always been special to them.

You are so right!  I actually find the Bridge kinda funny.  But you are so right about a daughter and her dad!!  I tell him all the time that I get tired of being the bad parent!!   He told me that he just can't always bring himself to spank them, which I told him I can't either, but that we are raising young adults!!  But you got to love that bond that the girls and their fathers have!!
