Purchase price    54.54
sales tax              3.23

What is the sales tax rate?

I know, a fifth grader could do this, but I haven't been a fifth grader since 1940.

Dee Gee

5.9% should be the rate of taxation which is low a rate now.

That figures out to be 5.9%.

Our rate here in Centennial is 6.45%.

Aurora, Colorado, went berserk a few years ago and started charging 8.2%.

Purchases of food in Colorado are tax exempt, though, but dining out is taxable.

Thank you.  That is the tax rate in Wichita now.

I am sure you could have answered it, too, Heather.  But you gotta do what you gotta do and you don't have the time to jump on the questions as soon as they come up.  Thanks, anyway.
