Howard Courant
Thursday, January 30, 1936

Miss Louise Marie Criger and Mr. Willis Dale Harrod, were married on Sunday afternoon, January 26, 1936 at four o'clock, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Criger, north or Howard.  Rev. G. R. Lawellin pronounced the marriage vows in the presence of the immediate families and a very few intimate friends of the bride and groom.

The bride, in a toe length dress of ivory transparent velvet, carried an arm bouquet of Los Angeles roses.

A buffet supper was served with the bride presiding over the bride's cake.   The table appointments were ivory candles and pink and white sweet peas.

The groom is the oldest son of Mr. Will Harrod of Howard.  Both bride and groom have grown up in Howard, were graduated from Howard High school.  Dale attended junior college in Independence and in Fort Scott and is now employed at one of the Gridley Shops in Wichita.  Louise has been employed for the past two years in the Regional Agricultural Credit Association at Wichita.

They left immediately for Wichita where they will be at home after February 1st, at 5(?)0 West Central.

Mrs. Harrod is the daughter of Albert Criger, one of the substantial farmers and stockmen of rural Howard.  He grew up and attended the Howard school, where the children have received the greater part of their education also.

The Courant desires to add the most hearty good wishes for the happiness and success of this popular young Howard couple.
