Here's hoping that Elk County will benefit from the Obama binge money so that, at the least, K-99 could be three lanes with curb and gutter going through Howard. The third lane would be a turning lane--Prairie Star, March 4, 2009.

Of the seven transportation items needed for Elk and Chautauqua counties, that might have a chance with stimulus money, the K-99 proposal through Howard would seem to be the most cost effective and most realistic.

There was something else mentioned "regarding the Flint Oak overlay project" apparently an Elk County proposal, but I did not see an explanation of what it involves and don't believe I have heard of the effort.
