I have a ton of expired coupons. My grandmother told me that you could send them to military families and they are still able to use them for 6 months past the expiration date. I also read this in a magazine somewhere. Does anyone know anything about this? Or maybe a website where I can find more info?

A number of web sites including the one above say that overseas military commissaries accept coupons six months past the expiration date.

Although, if the coupons are too far expired they might not get to the recipients in sufficient time.
