Adron A. Hebb, 85, of Tyler, Texas and formerly of Howard, died Wednesday in Tyler.

A memorial service was held Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Howard.  Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Howard and donations may be left with Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard.

Mr. Hebb was born May 18, 1917 in Howard, the son of Louis Miles and Katie Leona (Wells) Hebb.  He grew up and attended school in Howard.

He married Madge Copeland on August 24, 1944 in Phenix City, Ala., and she survives.

Mr. Hebb served in the military during World War II.  Following the war the couple retuned to Howard where he owned and operated Hebb's Auto Supply for many years.

He was a member and past commander of Carter-Radar American Legion Post No. 149 in Howard. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church, serving in various capacities through the years.  He became a member of  Sylvania Baptist Church after moving to Tyler, in 1995.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hebb is survived by a daughter, Angela Drzewiecki, Danville, Calif., three sons, Joe Hebb, Bob Hebb, and Bill Hebb, all of Tyler, Texas, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
