Oh how wonderful ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you, one and all.  I did have a great birthday.  I received a lot of really nice cards,The  weather was warm, temp was 79, and we were surprised by a visit of friends from Huston that we had not seen for 2 years and telephone calls from our girls and grandkids, then our favorite nurse and her boyfriend rode his Harlley over and we got to meet him and they stayed for a long time, and after the company left Fred and I went to Rockport and enjoyed the rest of the day. So --- it really doesn't get much better than that.
Thank you so much, forum family, for the birthday wishes and Flo---thank you for the song.
Love to all
Jo

It sounds like you had a great day with great weather.  We're glad Fred is doing well and you are both able to enjoy life at its best.

Well, I am always late with the birthday cards, Christmas cards, etc., so Jo, Happy Birthday late.  You are one of the loveliest ladies that I know, second only to my mother.

How wonderful to still be receiving birthday wishes.  :D   We went to the club house last night for the New Year Eve dance and one of our friends came over and sang to me ( belated) and apologized for forgetting my birthday.  She asked, " It was the 29th wasn't it?  And I forgot.  So sorry"  I told her, that it was the 26th - we hugged and then she went up to the band and the next thing I knew, the drummer was singing and the band played Happy Birthday and asked me to stand up.  Holy Buckets, guess I will not have another one that lets me celebrate this long.  Friends are prized possessions!!
We had a wonderful time -- I danced a LOT and Fred danced a few slow dances. He really enjoyed getting out and visiting with everyone, he got a little tired, but was so glad that we went.   We ended the year as we have for many, many years.
Now it is time to bring in the new and hope and pray it goes well for all.
