Lloyd Keith "Ted" Nettles, 76, of Moline, Kansas, died December 5, 2008 at Sedan, Kansas. 

Survivors include his wife, Edna; sons, Steve and Randy; three sisters; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2008  at Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.  Services will be Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Moline Christian Church, Moline, Kansas.

Lloyd Keith "Ted" Nettles, age 76, a resident of Moline, Kansas, passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Sedan City Hospital in Sedan, Kansas.  Ted was born on February 19, 1932 in Lorenzo, Texas, the son of Lloyd Leslie and Florence Loraine(Carter) Nettles.

After graduating high school, Ted worked on the family cotton farm near Lorenzo, Texas.  After many years of growing cotton, Ted went to work as a truck driver in the Texas oil fields.  On May 17, 2001, Ted was united in marriage to Eda C. Brust-Collier in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  He was a member of the Moline Christian Church.  He was also a member of the Masons and Shriners back in Texas.  Ted was a 16-year-heart transplant survivor.

Ted is survived by his wife, Eda Nettles of Moline, Kansas; two sons, Steve Nettles and his wife Kita of Johnson City, Texas and Randy Nettles and his wife Tanya of Amarillo, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Nettles; three sisters, Francis Danford of Lewisville, Texas Edith Coulter and her husband Earl of Lorenzo, Texas, and Carol Cobb of Ft. Worth, Texas; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ricky Nettles; one brother George "Skeets" Nettles; one sister, Bobbie Hardin; and one brother-in-law, Charlie Danford.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Moline Christian Church with Pastor Stan Rumbaugh officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, December 8, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m at Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.  Interment will be at the Moline, Kansas Cemetery.  Family suggests contributions to the Chautauqua County Animal Shelter and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Zimmerman Funeral Home, Howard, Kansas.
