Carol (Wood) Palsmeier, 63, a resident of Fall River, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas.  Carol was born on June 11, 1945 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Walter A. and Cora May (Gramm) Wood.

Carol Wood and Kenneth W. Palsmeier were united in marriage on June 26, 1965.  Carol was a loving mother and homemaker for 43 years.  She was a church organist, 4-H leader, and a librarian.  Carol loved square dancing.  She was also a member of the Altar Society.

In addition to her husband Kenneth, Carol is survived by three sons, William C. Palsmeier of Wichita, Kansas, Lawrence W. Palsmeier of Paola, Kansas, and Nickolas A. Palsmeier of Independence, Kansas; and three grandchildren, Jozlin Drena Palsmeier, Ethan Mackenzie Palsmeier, and Michaela Taylor Palsmeier;.  She was preceded in death by her father, Walter A. Wood; her mother, Cora May Wood; and her brother, Glen D. Wood.

Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fredonia, Kansas.  Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Stephen Baxter officiating.  Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fredonia, Kansas.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Greenwood County Cancer Support, the Fall River Library, or Sacred Heart Catholic Church and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, 420 S 20th Street, P.O..
