Elias L. Morgan, 80, retired farmer, died Thursday (March 06, 1986) at his home in Howard.  He was born July 20, 1905, on a farm northeast of Howard to Joseph and Annie (McConihey) Morgan.

He attended Howard elementary school and graduated from Howard High School in 1924.  On Dec. 25, 1930, he married Hazel Louise Story at Howard.  He owned and operated a farm until his retirement in 1970.

Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife, Hazel, of the home; two sons, Curtis and Carl, both of Howard, one daughter, Virginia Tompkins, Scottsdale, Ariz; a step-daughter, Jane Webster of Wichita, four sisters, Mabel Timmons of Coldwater, Kans. Josephine Karback, Arlington, Texas, Florence Andrews, Oakland, Oregon and Gladys Denton, Howard; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard with Bernard Smith officiating.

A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.  Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard is in charge of the arrangements.
