I personally don't think the politics board should be something to stay away from.  Yes, Frank and I lock horns on a regular basis, but if he came to my house today, he would get a hug when he entered and a cup of coffee so we could sit down and really have a great chat (but I can't stir his coffee with my finger cause he's diabetic and can't have that much sugar  .  His wife and I went to school together so how could I not like him?  Two people don't always have to agree, but they can agree to disagree without becoming mortal enemies for crying out loud.  A person needs both sides of the picture to get a grasp on the issues BEFORE election day and this forum has certainly given both sides. (three sides sometimes  :D).  I am learning a lot, speaking a lot, and when I go to the polls, I may still not make the right choice, but I'll know why I am voting the way I am.  I'm getting  more good information on here than I do the TV, believe me.  Any of you ever hear of a debating team when you were in high school?  You may have been chosen to debate something that you entirely disagreed with, but it was the "debate" not the "beliefs" that made for a good discussion on 2 sides of an issue.  That's how you learn, durn it, PERIOD, and now I gotta get busy. Elkie awards? Anyone open for a good debate?  ::) OK, I'm outta here. . . . .O overshot my 2 cents - anyone got change for a 5

Pep I also have the Negative Elkie Awards in my mind. I was trying to use my Sunday going to meeting manners. If you sign a binding non-disclosure contract with a $2 million penalty clause I will send it to you. You would definitely be the one to handle that. I don't have the cajones.

You know, I agree with David...this should be a good-natured activity...but my ornery bone is just wiggling away...and I like the ideas that Patrict has posted...maybe, with a little work on the rough edges, we could have these:

Most Irritating

Least Likely to Succeed

Biggest 'Company Man/Woman'

Most Anal-Retentive

Most Neurotic  (I've already won this one...leave it off the list!)

Hmmmmmmmmm...after careful consideration...I've probably won all of these.  Never mind...

CATWOMAN, you should get the Poet award hands down. The very first one you posted is still my favorite.
Frank

Catwoman

I do appreciate your kind words...but to quote someone (whom I really can't remember) who said, "If nominated, I will not run...if elected, I will not serve"...was that LBJ?  Anyway, I nominate either David, Pam or Teresa...all of whom have a fantastic grasp of the English language!

I nominate Catwoman for Number one, Numero Uno, ACE Poet
