What???

Elk county doesn't have the ability to bring business here other than ranching and such.  It has no water, it has no infrastructure to
bring any kind of decent business to the county.  And if the county spent the money on building it, it would raise taxes so high that
folks would revolt and industry wouldn't locate here because of the high taxes.

It is at best a retirement area.  IF i could go back to work right now i would have no problem getting a job, making 80- 100 k a year.
we are a hour drive from wichita and a couple hours from tulsa.  So theres two big cities to offer up good paying jobs.
When i lived in georgia, i drove every day for 15 years 1 hour - 1 1/2 hours one way to work every day.  I lived where i wanted to live
in the country with no outrageous taxes, with no heavy industry in the county.

Manufacturing jobs aren't going to ever come back outside of small business mom and pop shops.  IF you want work  you have to get it in the available job market like health care, technology, computers, information brokering ect ect....
Curb your politician.  We have leash laws you know.
